TPU thick film refers to TPU film with a thickness of 0.1 mm or above, produced through casting, calendering and other film-forming processes. Compared with thinner TPU films, TPU thick films offer higher strength and durability, and are able to withstand greater pressure and impact. They are widely used in outdoor, industrial, medical, electronic and other applications.
Polyether-based TPU thick film features excellent hydrolysis resistance, low-temperature flexibility, mildew resistance, softness and elasticity. It is suitable for applications involving long-term exposure to moisture, sweat, humid environments or low-temperature outdoor conditions. It is mainly used in inflatable products, water-related products, medical airbags, outdoor products and other applications.
Polyester-based TPU thick film provides excellent abrasion resistance, high mechanical strength, oil resistance, fuel resistance, solvent resistance and scratch resistance. It is mainly used in footwear materials, automotive interiors, bags and luggage, inflatable mattresses and other products.
Bio-based TPU thick film is produced by partially replacing traditional petrochemical raw materials with bio-based raw materials. It not only maintains the original physical properties of TPU, but also offers a greener, more environmentally friendly and renewable material solution. It is suitable for projects focused on environmental protection, low carbon, sustainability and green brand positioning. According to the chemical structure of the material, bio-based TPU film can be divided into polyether-based bio-based TPU film and polyester-based bio-based TPU film.
Functional TPU thick film is developed by adjusting the original TPU thick film formulation according to specific customer requirements, such as UV resistance, flame retardance, antibacterial performance, anti-yellowing performance and antistatic properties. This allows the production of TPU thick films with targeted functional performance, such as anti-yellowing TPU film for footwear materials and flame-retardant TPU thick film for automotive interiors.
In addition to its thin film production lines, Jiaxing Nanxiong Polymer Co., Ltd. is also equipped with TPU thick film casting production lines. The company can produce TPU thick films with thicknesses ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm and widths from 1 m to 1.5 m. Both polyether and polyester TPU thick films are available, and are widely used in outdoor inflatable products, medical inflatable products, automotive interiors, footwear materials, bags and luggage, electronics and other industries.
