What is GRS?
GRS Certification system covers four main requirements including Traceability, Environment , Social Criteria , and Chemical Management .
With the advancement of global sustainable development and low-carbon economic model, renewable materials have been known and accepted by more and more enterprises and consumers, becoming a main market trend. Various brands start to introduce products made by renewable materials, meanwhile require their supply chains to use renewable materials and also got certified accordingly .
Access conditions of GRS certification : the proportion of recycled content is ≥ 20%.
GRS logo and label usage and special statement: The proportion of recycled content in the product is ≥50%.
Once recycled material in product reaches over 20%, GRS certification can be applied, and when the recycled material ratio reaches more than 50%, the GRS label can be used. Enterprises currently applying for GRS certification are not limited to textiles, clothing and accessories, footwear, electrical and electronic, glasses, packaging, plastic products, automobiles and accessories, etc.
