바이오-기반 TPU 멤브레인
TPU , short of thermoplastic polyurethane , is a kind of new eco-friendly material , it is made to TPU membrane to replace of PVC membrane by many industries .
Bio-based TPU is partially made with renewable natural resources (such as corn, wheat,, etc.) ,but still maintains the same performance as traditional fossil based TPU. One of the most important renewable biomass technology is Susterra ® biomass from United States DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products ™ company .
The biomass 1 -3 propanediol which is extracted from corn was added to the TPU to replace part of the petroleum material . Susterra® propanediol is renewably sourced and generates up to 48% less greenhouse gas emissions cradle-to-gate compared to 1,4-butanediol (BDO), a common petro-chemical sourced alternative.
